Public Private Partnership is collaboration between public and private sectors based on a long term agreement which aims to provide services traditionally assigned to the competence of public sector and to maintain the infrastructure necessary for the development of those services.

In order to secure the provision of infrastructure and service, state and regional government institutions of all levels willingly express interest in the opportunity to cooperate with public sector. Interest in the cooperation in this field (often called Public Private Partnership - PPP) grows partly due to the possibility of government institutions to profit from the practical experience of public sector, firstly, by increasing its efficiency. Secondly, this interest may be related to the limitations of national budget.
